Beatriz Slooten Navarro

Senior Behavioral Scientist


Beatriz joined CUBIC in 2024 as a Senior Behavioral Scientist. During her career, she has focused on international development, including children's rights, to more recently incorporate social behavioral change models. As a behavioral expert, she has led diverse international teams, undertaking tasks ranging from literature reviews to formative research, behavioral design, and randomized evaluations. She has worked in the Latin American region with the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank on behavioral interventions on water, sanitation, and hygiene and for projects funded by USAID in democracy and governance. 

Originated from Costa Rica, Beatriz holds a psychology degree from the University of Costa Rica, an MBA from Universidad Latina, and an MPA from Harvard University. She currently resides in Washington, DC.

Fun fact: Beatriz loves adventures in nature, from whale watching to hanging bridges to hiking.
